JWF History - Origin Of The JWF
It all began with three friends, Luke Higgins (Hardcore Higgins), Owen Richards (Neno Cross) and Richard Williamson (Seven) watching Wrestling on the TV and deciding they could do better then what was offered locally by the resident wrestling company. The first Matches were shoot fights between the paper boys of the shop Higgins ran in Copthorn, Then it evolved to the backyard of Ricky’s East Worthing home. Events started with the three of them, then two more joined the ranks, The undefeated Undefeatable Craig Hazeldon and Dirty White Boy. This wasn’t shaping up to be your normal backyard wrestling company, as unlike most backyarders there was only one member who was under 20 years old. This company began with grown men emanating what they loved. The JWF was born, and the company needed a champion. So the JWF held the first proper event, Combat Zone which ended with a cage match between Neno Cross and Ricky Seven locking up for the championship. With Higgins interference Neno raised the title.
