Violent Reaction 2009 Summary

Written by S. Reading-Brown

An aptly named event to say the least, with the heat of the day scorching the ground outside the atmosphere was no different in the ring, and with a huge match card the event turned out to be a huge success.

Rob Cove and Bill Dozer opened the show with a match that looked like the new guy was going to get one over on the ringleader of The Massive, but Dozer locked in an impressive submission to make Cove tap out.
It seemed to be the order of the day for the chavs of the JWF to be on top, as “Sterling” Shaun Clark outsmarted veteran Pete Vicious and our resident funny guy Psyclown to gain a victory, and their associate ‘The Beast’ showed why he rules the Ultra-Violence division by beating both Xavier and Lycan in a bone crushing match!

If the U/V match wasn’t enough to get the blood pumping, Gallow and LJ Rose went toe to toe again, this time in a tables match. It seemed Gallow and LJ beaten for the second month running, but a masked man came to LJ’s aide nailing Gallow with LJ’s finishing move and LJ put Gallow through a table. Who is the mystery acquaintance of LJ? And can we expect some answers next month? Come along to Halloween Hell to find out!

New allies Pezmo and A.M.D (5 Star Rating) took to defending their newly acquired Tag Team Championship’s against Djinn & “The Golden One” Lance Midas in a match worthy of the belts. An impressive finishing combination saw 5 Star Rating win in cocky fashion and leave with the belts. That wasn’t the end though, as almost instantly after, The Massive were back on the scene taking another cheap shot a Djinn. What is The Massive’s problem with the new guy? Maybe we will get some answers at Halloween Hell.

Bad boy Billy-Bob squared off with NeXuS for the first time in 3 years. The odds were heavily stacked against NeXuS as Billy-Bob had brought the rest of Rebel Hell with him to the ring which caused a lot of trouble for the referee who tried to maintain stability throughout the match. NeXuS did gain the upper hand after throwing Billy-Bob to the outside of the ring from the top rope and proceeding to land a plancha on him and Karn. The match seemed clearly over as NeXuS went for the Shallow Grave but it was a costly mistake. Billy-Bob reversed it into a Chokeslam, leaving NeXuS unable to kick out of the 3 count.

Rebel Hell seem to be starting a roll in the JWF, as moments before Karn showed his monstrous power against Reality member Mr. Jim in what proved to be a truly amazing match. Mr. Jim held his own against the nightmare but his strength was too much for Mr. Jim and The Wrath of Karn soon sealed his fate.
Leader of The Reality Shredd was also in action, against JWF’s World Champion Taurian. The match was fast paced with both competitors hitting new moves. Shredd connected with the Shredd Effect and clambered over to get the pin, but after taking too long to get there Taurian managed to kick out just before the ref’s hand hit the canvas for the 3 count, hitting the Bulls Eye moments later and finishing Shredd off.

The Reality suffered 2 singles losses this month and also lost the Tag Team Championships at Pier Pressure the month before. Is the greatest tag team in JWF history on a downfall? Is there a problem in the ranks? And can Dan Dryland make a difference to the team when he returns?
With all these questions in mind and the return of the House of Pain match, Halloween Hell could shape up to be huge.

Catch us on the 25th October at St. Richards Church Hall for more JWF action.
